Privacy (Plain-language)

What we do not collect

• No names, email addresses, phone numbers, or account identities.
• No message content you type into tools (e.g., Argument Detective) is sent to a server by Incognati.
• No sale of data. No “data broker” sharing.

What we may collect (anonymized, aggregated)

We may collect anonymized, aggregated usage signals to understand which topics are most useful. This is used only for statistical purposes like topic popularity, navigation friction, and overall site improvement.

• Which pages are visited and how often (aggregate counts).
• Basic device category and viewport size (e.g., desktop vs mobile) to improve layout.
• High-level interaction counts (e.g., “opened references modal” count).

These signals are intended to be non-identifying. If a metric would reasonably identify a person, it does not belong here.

Local-only settings

Some preferences are stored only in your browser using localStorage, such as Basic/Advanced mode. This is not sent to us by default — it stays on your device unless your browser syncs it as part of its own settings.

Cookies

Incognati does not require cookies to function. If the hosting platform or your browser uses cookies for basic delivery or security, those are outside Incognati’s control.
